2026 sera donc l’année des 20 ans de Papanosh. Loin de vouloir célébrer cet anniversaire comme un album photo mélancolique ou le mausolée d’un glorieux story-telling musical qui est avant tout une aventure artistique humaine et démocratique singulière, les cinq membres ont voulu revenir à la table et au vert des résidences pour se laisser le temps de concevoir un répertoire collectif qui leur ressemble.
Ce spectacle s’intitule Yes I Are ! dans la droite ligne des noms anglo-loufoques de leurs précédents répertoires, qui raconte en creux leur rapport désinvolte au sérieux des musiques dites « de création » et tire le fil d’Ariane de leur musique, imprégnée de l’esthétique afro-américaine. C’est surtout un cri du cœur pour le collectif dans lequel l’individu ne se dissout pas mais, au contraire, s’épanouit et s’exprime plus singulièrement encore.
Et pour concevoir ce nouveau chapitre, Sébastien Palis apporte à son piano le(s) timbre(s) si particulier(s) du Mellotron et Raphaël Quenehen agrémente son saxophone de percussions et de flûtes du monde entier.
A Very Big Lunch (avec Lison De Ridder), Tu Danses-tu ? et ce nouveau Yes I Are ! pourront tourner conjointement dans les années qui viennent.

Le disque Home Songs est le résultat phonographique de la création "Home" avec le saxophoniste et poète new-yorkais, Roy Nathanson (Lounge Lizards, Jazz Passengers), et le rappeur et beatboxer de Cincinnati Napoleon Maddox autour de ce sentiment si controversé de sentir chez-soi.
Le disque Oh Yeah Ho est le résultat phonographique de la création du même nom avec Roy Nathanson, et le tromboniste Fidel Fourneyron (ONJ, un Poco Loco) autour de l'univers de Charles Mingus.
